Inland Sessions: David Larsen

As a recording artist, saxophonist, professor, collaborator, producer, and composer, David Larsen joins us in studio to play a couple original solo works and to talk about how he came to dedicate himself to music, personally and professionally, ever since. David's life really is all Jazz, capital "J", and you can hear it as he discusses his family, background, musical influences/experiences, and how exactly one gets around to teaching aesthetics in his music classes.

Caroline and JayJ Carlile are only 50% of folk ensemble SmallTown Strings, but they bring their roots to the table. Although they are both still in their teens, when SmallTown Strings took the stage on Inland Sessions, they showed a sophistication in their songwriting and performance that we will explore in this podcast, including a live acoustic performance from the duo.

Kristen Marlo is a singer/songwriter who brought her roots to  Inland Sessions, but today Kristen brings her story which includes how she found her love of performance singing in active warzones while serving in the U.S. Air Force. She plays a live acoustic to illustrate the way and reasons for writing her soulful music.
